Regal GMC

Regal GMC has called Lakeland, FL, home for decades, and the relationship runs deeper than car sales. Families who buy here also coach youth sports, volunteer at church, sit on school boards, and raise their kids a few streets over. That shared footing shapes how our dealership shows up across Polk County and the surrounding communities.

We belong to the Regal Automotive Group family, channeling much-needed support toward nonprofits, schools, first responders, and neighbors who keep this corner of Central Florida strong.

Decisions about who we sponsor are made by area residents who get to see the results up close and personal. The list of partners has grown long over the years, and drivers from Haines City or Plant City, FL, can usually spot a name they already know, since Regal supports many of the same organizations where they volunteer on the weekend.

Supporting Florida Kids and Families

Much of Regal's giving centers on children and the families raising them. Kidspak fills backpacks with food for students who might otherwise go hungry once the school week ends. The Boys & Girls Club keeps its doors open after the final bell, giving young people a safe place to learn and play. Expectant mothers find encouragement and practical help through A Women's Choice, while CPS Cares steps in for kids inside the foster and child-welfare systems.

Families facing a rough stretch can turn to Talbot House, United Way, the Tri-County network, and other local safety nets for a hand up. Faith-based partners, including Light House Ministries and Parker Street Ministries, reach neighbors who need food and a fresh start. The DreamCenter has become a lifeline for young people aging out of foster care, offering housing and mentorship at the exact moment the system tends to let go. The community's animals have an advocate too, since Regal supports the local SPCA. Help like this reaches households from Haines City to Bloomingdale, FL, wherever there is need.

Celebrating Arts and Local Culture

Life in Polk County runs on more than work and errands. Regal helps fund the experiences that pull people together. The Lakeland Community Theatre puts local performers on stage season after season. Music and cultural celebration fill the calendar through Idols Aside and Viva Polk! Aviation fans have Sun 'n Fun, the aerospace expo and fly-in that draws visitors from across the state to Lakeland every spring. Events like these give area residents a reason to gather, keeping money and pride circulating close to home near Lakeland, FL.

Preparing Students for Careers

ConnectED Polk:

Connecting Education to Opportunity

A diploma means more when a student already knows what to do with it. That idea drives ConnectED Polk, a Regal partner that connects area classrooms to the working world students enter upon graduating. Local employers open their doors and show what regional jobs truly demand, so kids spend less time guessing about where school might lead them.

The partnership gets real this August, when Junior Achievement BizTown and Finance Park launch in Polk County. Both programs drop students into a scaled-down version of adult life, where they earn, spend, budget, and run their own businesses for a day. Regal operates a storefront inside BizTown, and the students assigned there handle their own customers and staffing calls, then see how many different jobs it takes to keep a single dealership running. A ninth-grader still torn between a trade certificate and a college application walks away with something concrete to picture. Kids from Lakeland, FL, out to Lake Wales get that head start well before they ever fill out a job application.

Regal supports CareerSource Polk and maintains close ties with local high schools, including Lakeland, Lake Gibson, Jenkins, and Auburndale. Kids Tag Art turns student artwork into custom license plates and raises money for art education along the way. Florida Southern College and the PACE Center for Girls both count Regal among their backers, giving students another reason to aim high.

VISTE:

Caring for Seniors Across the Region

Regal Automotive Group has supported VISTE (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly) for many years. The nonprofit helps seniors across Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry, and Fort Meade stay safely and independently in their own homes.

VISTE has served residents age 70 and older since 1983. Transportation, monthly commodity boxes, hot meals, and wheelchair ramps are among the resources that help seniors maintain their dignity and quality of life. These services are important each year as the senior population is growing, with more residents choosing to age in the neighborhoods they love.

Regal GMC takes part in VISTEball, the organization's annual fundraiser, and sponsors and personally delivers care boxes to local seniors. That hands-on delivery puts our team members face-to-face with the people they serve, which is exactly the point. Support for older neighbors extends to the Polk Senior Games and the yearly Alzheimer's Walk. Retirees who want to stay active and social also find a home at the Lakeland Shuffle Board Club, which draws players in and around Leesburg.

Lakeland Police Foundation:

Supporting Local Law Enforcement

Not everything an officer's job requires shows up in a city budget. The Lakeland Police Foundation covers the rest. It puts money toward tuition for officers chasing a degree, steps in when a family hits a financial wall, looks after department dogs once they retire from active duty, and funds the Police Explorer Program for teenagers weighing a career in law enforcement. The Foundation also maintains the Fallen Heroes Memorial, which honors 7 fallen officers in Lakeland, FL, who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Regal GMC sponsors the Foundation's annual Fallen Heroes Memorial 5K. Money raised at the event funds these programs and honors the service behind the badge. The run brings officers, their families, local businesses, and everyday residents together on the same course every year, turning a morning of exercise into direct support for the people who wear the uniform. This kind of support is mostly valuable in the years long after the headlines fade, when a retired canine still needs care or an officer's family hits an unexpected expense.

The dealership also backs K9 for Cops, which helps departments bring on trained police dogs, along with the Polk County Sheriff Foundation and the Police Athletic League. Deputies and officers working the roads from Kissimmee to the heart of Lakeland, FL, benefit from the resources these groups make possible. The Police Athletic League earns its keep in a specific way, since it gives kids and officers a reason to get to know each other outside of a traffic stop or a hard day. A pickup basketball game or an after-school program builds the kind of trust no policy memo can manufacture.
